🌸 Pressing Flowers Workshop In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the foundational steps of flower pressing using your own locally crafted flower press, made from beautiful local oak wood in collaboration with 8woodworks. Each participant will receive a full pressing kit, including: A large wooden flower press Blotter paper and cardboard inserts A selection of seasonal flowers and greens, including Queen Anne’s Lace, Cosmos, a full rose (to be pressed petal by petal), and a variety of textured greenery I’ll walk you through every step: from how to carefully break down each flower, layer for even pressing, and set up your press for the best long-term results. You’ll also receive tips and guidance for the 5-week pressing period that follows. 🌿 This class focuses on the pressing process only. After your flowers are fully pressed and preserved, you’ll have the option to join Course 2 – Reconstruct a Rose and Design a Flower Frame, where we’ll come back together to create your own floral frame using the pieces you’ve pressed. You’ll learn how to rebuild your rose, design a composition, and secure everything to glass frame for a lasting botanical artwork.
